The 377
The 305 was removed in Spring of 98. I bought the .030 over-bored 400 small block with a 350 crank as an assembled short-block (377 cubic inches) from a friend for 400 bucks. Zero miles, forged TRW pistons, forged crank. Not a bad deal, huh? First I installed a Crane Powermax cam with a true double roller timing chain.
I settled on some iron production heads, 441 castings, fitted with 2.02/1.60 valves, and bowl ported as well. After painting the block & heads, the front accessories were installed. After installing the Edelbrock coated TES exhaust headers, it was ready to drop in.
